The AG Cat

The plane we fly is a highly modified Grumman G-164 AG Cat.

Seating one pilot and two passengers, The G-164 was designed in the 1950's by Grumman Aircraft and introduced as a "Purpose Built" aircraft for the agriculture industry, primarily to be used for crop dusting.

Continuing The Grumman naming tradition of using the suffix "Cat" in aircraft names (e.g., F4F Wildcat and F6F Hellcat), the aircraft was dubbed The AG Cat.
